Growing up in southern West Virginia, I always envisioned what it would be like to one day part ways with the simple country life I had been accustomed to. With the support and encouragement of family, I gradually branched outside my comfort zone when I landed in Morgantown, West Virginia for college (Yes I’m a mountaineer and yes I bleed blue and gold). Although still in state, it was my first real experience away from home which opened my eyes to how much better the opportunity was beyond the 1500 person town I grew up in.
It was in Morgantown that I met my amazing husband who later blessed me with the beautiful family that I have today.
At a certain stage in my career, my work began consuming the single most important aspect of my life, my family. A few years ago, divine intervention forced me to slam on the brakes and made a decision to not only rededicate myself wholly to my home life and family, but also to the service of others. Before I realized it, I was sharing experiences that naturally progressed into public speaking engagements and then further into coaching.
One of my all time heros, and proud to now say mentor, John C. Maxwell, pretty well answered a prayer for me when I learned he was spinning up an organization to be supported by some of the worlds leading experts in the field of leadership development, coaching, training, and speaking. Of course I had no choice, but to take the plunge and truly invest in a new area of development for myself which led me down the path of becoming a Certified John Maxwell Coach and Team Member. If there is such a thing as igniting your passion, I suppose you could say, I was on fire!

As a coach, trainer, and business engagement strategist, I work with individuals and corporations facilitating transformation in their lives and organizations. I believe change comes from the power within ourselves, and when harnessed can significantly impact the world we live and work in. I have had a distinguished career in corporate finance and technology supporting small and midsize startups to multinational conglomerates, and although I feel at home within corporate walls, my true passion comes from supporting the lifeblood of an organization which I use as fuel to drive success – it’s people.
